Paint Pot Series: Sparklin' in Gold

(courtesy of Pursebuzz)

The Star: Indianwood Paint Pot
I just can't get enough of golds and I often create my best looks with it. I've been lusting over Indianwood for some time now, but kept putting off buying it because I have so many other golds! But, it is truly worth it because it is my favorite gold cream shadow of all time. Here's a look I created this past weekend.

Eyes:

Indianwood Paint Pot
MAC e/s in Amber Lights (on lid)
MAC e/s in Antiqued (in crease and outter V)
MAC e/s in Trax (slightly in crease)
MAC e/s in Goldmine (to blend lid and crease colors together)
Shisedio Hydro Powder Shadow in Tiger Eye (under brow as highlighter)
Shisheido Cream Eyeliner in black
MAC Liquid Liner in Bootblack

Cheeks:
Benefit Dallas (to contour side of nose and cheeks)
Bobbi Brown Rose Shimmerbrick

Lips:
Dior Bronze Couture lipstick

Face:
MAC Foundation Select SPF 15 NC43
MAC Select MoistureCover Concealer in NC35 & NC42
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
MAC Skinfinish in Medium Dark

Golds look really great on you! The only golds I have are minerals and I don't do the powder shadows too well ;)

Thanks Nilla! You should definitely jump on Indianwood. Amber lights and Goldmine are my two other favorite MAC gold shades.

Nywele,

You so need to jump on paint pots!

Divine,

Try toning down amberlights with a little goldmine. But yeah, amber lights is definitely one of a kind!

I love this look. I was about to purchase Indianwood but I had a similar thought, it was too much like other golds. I think I'm going to check it out one more time.

Thanks,
Teneasha

Yeah, there's something about yellow, especially at spring time. :) Having seen your skintone, I'd say brighter yellow suits better for you! I'm pale as a ghost and desperately trying to get a tan so I'm sticking to pale yellow, at least for now. :D
